His work shows a broad spectrum of drawings, graphics, watercolours, gouaches, collages, paintings and images (including illustrative work and political cartoons) as well as monumental works such as mosaic glass collages in concrete. All of his work deals with the beautiful and pleasant incomprehensible that we might call ‘ desire’ (and sometimes ‘ loss’ ). Some drawings, graphics, gouaches and aquarelles were created through solid observation, others drew mainly on poetic imagination. Experiencing pure luck and misfortune, as well as contemplation on the inner beauty of things and human failure were important sources of inspiration. Prose, poetry and literature were always important aspects as well. The progress itself is the common thread in his art, and the ongoing drive is to create a never ending string of works. Nowadays his body of work contains nearly 30.000 drawings and about 100 sculptures, mainly in private collections.
